Another Catch Up Post!

I keep uploading items to this post and never seem to have a chance to publish them to my blog. As a result this post is really going to be packed with art by the time it actually gets online, LOL!

My April inchies:

I finally got inspired to create some "Black & White" inchies for May:

The photo of my June "Celestial" inchies is really blurry. I don't think my scanner liked that I be-dazzled the heck out of them!
The top left inchie is made using the new 1" Memory Capsules by Ranger.
All of the backgrounds are made using various techniques that I have learned in the last year or so.

These are cards I made for a Croppinsville card swap. We got to keep the Stampology stamps used in the swap.
I also used this bird card design for a "jewel" card swap this month.

The fall card is made using some gorgeous Bo Bunny papers that I found in the sports section of all places. I also used a bunch of Dimensional Pearls on the leaves. I love Dimensional Pearls!
This scan shows the card open.

Cards for my Swap Partner:
This is the "cat" theme card that I made for my swap partner. Somehow he ended up looking too much like a valentine...

This is my ladybug theme card. I colored it using my beloved Copic markers.
This scan is really blurry too. I think my scanner has too much trouble picking up dimensional items...

This is the card I used for a flower theme.
I paper pieced one of my favorite Tim Holtz stamps.
Allie at Croppinsville showed us how to make these great flowers using Nestabilities dies and Glimmer Mists at a recent stamp club.

One week's theme was to make a card using corners. I stamped this wonderful corner onto some chipboard and added some fun embellishments to make these cute little houses.
All the stamps I used for this card are made by Stampers Anonymous.

Happy Owl-idays!

This are the latest cards that I have designed for Croppinsville. It was a lot of work to make up these kits, but I had lots of fun! Don't you just love this little owl by Stampology?

Catching up!

It's been a long time since I have posted any artwork! I have been very, very busy... Mom and I decided that since we no longer do any entertaining, we would turn the living room into a stamp studio. It took a lot longer than I expected to get things moved and most everything is finally in place. I've also recently started my new job as Assistant Manager at our local paper crafting store. I am not sure I can really call it a job though as I am enjoying myself too much!

Here is the bird card that I made for week #7 of the last swap. My friend Claudette sent us this fantastic card pattern that uses a chevron punch.

Week #8 of the swap required the use of a Whipper Snapper stamp so I used my favorite French poodle to make this card. I used my Copics to custom colored the pearls and the wooden purse embellishments to match the rest of the card.

March's inchie theme was buildings. It took me a while, but these are what I finally came up with:

Stay tuned!
I have a bunch more art to post over
the next few days, including a sneak peek at my new Design Team card kit!

Hugs & Happy Easter!

My first "Pick of the Month!"

One of the responsibilities of Croppinsville's design team members is to choose favorite products each month and make a project for our wall display.
I chose to make cupcake cards for my first "Pick of the Month" project. I used Bo Bunny papers, Die Cuts With A View Glitter papers and Prima Flowers.
Special thanks to my friend Angel for taking this photo for me!

Hurrah! I'm all caught up!

Believe it or not, my 2008 Christmas cards (now Happy Winter cards) are FINALLY finished and ready to mail! I hope you will find that they look better in person... I've also finished my Valentines! (This was also my week #6 swap card)

...and my February "Artist's Choice" Inchies (actually my January Inchies as I got the two months switched.)

I am also caught up with all my ATC personal trades! I've made a bunch of quick ones this past week! Here are a few of my favorites.

Note: The "Owl Have a Blue Christmas Without You" was the original idea for my Christmas cards. However, after January came around and I didn't have them finished, I had to scrap that idea and start over. The good news is that I have my 2009 cards already started!

Week #5

The theme for last week's card was to use gemstones (bling) and/or brads. This was the first time that I had tried the Ranger Dimensional Pearls and Liquid Pearls. I love the effect and now will have to buy more colors!
I want you to see the awesome cards that my swap partner has sent me. Angel has posted the pictures of all her swap cards on her blog. Here is the link so that you can go see her FABULOUS artwork: http://amongthestarsandwithinyourself.blogspot.com/

Week #4 Card

Last week's card swap theme was Buttons and/or Bows. I found this card idea in a recent Papercrafts magazine and just had to make it!

Week #3 Card

This week's Swap card had to use die cuts or punches. I didn't do anything too exciting, just used Nestabilities. (I do LOVE my Nestabilities!!!)

Catching Up!

I am so behind on my blogging!

These are my January Inchies. The theme is "Just one color". Technically this was February's theme, but I got my months mixed up... OOPS! No worries, I will make January's inchies next month. :-)

Here is my week #2 swap card, which had to use gold foil, glitter or leafing:

This is my first Design Team card for Croppinsville. We had to make a project using a sketch from the latest issue of Scrapbook's Etc. We also had to use black chipboard, Prima flowers and a Prima transparency somewhere in the design. Sadly, the lovely transparency doesn't show up in my scan...

Dark Colors & Layers

For week one of the swap, we had to make a card using dark colors. Since I had used a Hero Arts stamp, I decided to also enter it in this week's layers challenge on the Hero Arts blog . Just getting a useable photo was a challenge in itself. I took over 100 photos with our digital camera and couldn't get even one clear picture to use. (Either I am a lousy photographer or our camera is a piece of crap!) I managed to finally get a decent (albeit very dark) scan, but it didn't really show the layers...
Anyway, my friend Allie saved the day by taking a picture for me! Thanks Allie!!!
