This is the first time I've tried Poppets. Lots of fun!

This one is better in person (they all are!) The sign on the left page was made with a photo design program. The bottom layer is a collage of famous Oklahoma Route 66 landmarks. I then topped it with an acetate Route 66 sign. The result was a unique 3 dimensional look. The car on the right side travels back and forth across the page when you pull the ribbon.



I found the picture of the arthritic circus elephant while surfing the net and I knew I had to work it into this layout along with a whole bunch of evil clowns!

I found this wonderful Japanese myth online and decided to use it for this layout instead of the usual Greek myths. I made the background by playing around with faux Washi technique mentioned above. It took several tries and a few adjustments, but finally came up with something resembling Washi paper.
